Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles
Skinless and Boneless Chicken Breasts cut into strips
Oil (for frying)
Season the chicken with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder (equal portions). Allow seasoned chicken to sit refrigerated for at least 2 hours.
Prepare an egg wash using the eggs, water, and the hot sauce.
Dip the seasoned chicken in the egg wash and then dust liberally with flour.
Immediately place floured chicken in the oil (375 degrees F), until cooked (about 8 - 14 minutes depending on the thickness of the chicken).
Serve the chicken on top of fresh baked waffles with your choice of topping (maple syrup, white gravy, etc).
